Floodstop Barrier Pod

The Floodstop Barrier is a unique and innovative flood barrier that uses the rising floodwater to create flood protection. It is a rapidly deployable flood barrier that is used to protect utilities, businesses and households at risk from flooding.

• Each pod incorporates a unique foam gasket base which creates a seal with the ground; self-balancing and no bolting to the ground is required meaning this system works on hard standings such as roads, pavements, pathways, as well as grass or soil
• Floodstop Barrier Pods fill with the rising flood water, which combined with the weighted connection key (included) means that an assembled barrier will always be denser than the flood water
• Finished system is designed to withstand a flow velocity of 0.5m/s
• When the flood waters recede, the pods empty themselves and become light enough to be carried away
• The 90cm high Floodstop Barrier can be easily and rapidly assembled by two people
• Unlike sandbags, Floodstop Barriers can be used time and again, meaning they are extremely economical when used in areas prone to frequent flooding
• The addition of Floodstop Barrier Multi-hub Connection Pods (sold separately) allow for easy connection to walls, buildings, etc
• Units nest into each other for easy storage - 40m of barrier can be stored in a 20 x 8 x 8ft container
• Ideal for use as a demountable flood defense barrier, a road traffic delineator barrier, or a deployable reservoir system
