New Pig Europe is now a certified carbon-neutral business. It’s a big moment—but just one part of our wider sustainability journey.
"Our certification isn’t the end of the story—it’s just the beginning."
We're making real changes to reduce our environmental impact; we're looking at every part of our business, from how we operate our buildings to the products we supply.
We've measured and verified our carbon emissions to internationally recognised standards: ISO 14064-1:2018 and the GHG Protocol, ensuring our carbon reporting is credible, accurate, and transparent.

Through our partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain, we've offset all reported Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, which include business travel, team commuting and hybrid working, gas, electricity and our supply chain.
"Every mile travelled, every watt used—accounted for, measured, and offset."
Going carbon neutral is a big milestone—but we're not stopping here. We're continuing to reduce our emissions and improve the sustainability of our products, packaging, and operations.
Because being cleaner, safer, and better also means being greener.
Offsetting is only meaningful if it’s done right. That’s why we’ve chosen to support a carefully selected mix of UK and international climate projects with proven, measurable benefits for the planet—not just on paper but in practice.
Through the Carbon Neutral Britain Woodland Fund™, we back climate projects that go beyond carbon offsetting, helping to restore nature, support communities, and create lasting environmental impact.
Each initiative is independently verified to international standards and chosen for its real-world impact, from restoring damaged habitats and protecting wildlife to generating clean, renewable energy and supporting local communities.
Here’s a closer look at the projects we’re proud to be part of:
Over 98% of the UK’s wildflower meadows have disappeared, and we’re supporting Hay Meadow Conservation to restore one of the country’s most threatened but biodiverse habitats. These species-rich grasslands absorb carbon, support pollinators, and naturally slow rainwater runoff, helping to reduce flooding. By restoring over 800 hectares, we’re protecting wildlife, building climate resilience, and reconnecting people with nature through hands-on community efforts.
Degraded cattle grazing land in Uruguay is being transformed into thriving forests. Through our support of Reforestation in Uruguay, this large-scale project will capture over 7 million tonnes of CO₂, restore wildlife habitats, improve soil health, and create long-term employment in rural communities. It’s a powerful example of how climate action can drive both environmental recovery and economic renewal.
The world's first verified Blue Carbon Mangrove Restoration project is restoring 350,000 hectares of coastal forest in Pakistan. By supporting this project, we're helping to capture over 140 million tonnes of CO₂, protect fragile ecosystems, and strengthen climate resilience in vulnerable communities. It's a powerful model for climate action—combining carbon removal, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development in one of the world's most vulnerable coastal regions.
"From wildflower meadows to mangrove forests—we’re backing real change on the ground."
Clean, renewable energy is replacing fossil fuels on one of India’s fastest-growing power grids. By supporting Wind Power in Karnataka, we’re helping to cut greenhouse gas emissions, create thousands of local jobs, and drive investment in sustainable infrastructure—showing how renewable energy can deliver both environmental progress and economic opportunity.
More than 2,000 hectares of former pastureland in Costa Rica have been reforested with over 1 million native trees. By supporting Reforestation in Costa Rica, we’re helping to restore critical wildlife habitats, capture carbon, create long-term employment opportunities, and reduce pressure on old-growth forests—showing how reforestation can drive environmental recovery, strengthen rural economies, and protect biodiversity for generations to come.
It’s not just about the projects we support—it’s about what we’re doing in our own buildings, too, that counts.
Because sustainability needs to happen everywhere—not just where it’s easy.
At our European Headquarters in Scotland, we’ve taken real steps to cut waste and emissions. By compacting and baling all cardboard and plastic, we’ve made recycling more efficient and reduced the number of collection trips—lowering vehicle emissions and our overall CO₂ footprint.
The entire site is lit with energy-saving LEDs, from the car park to the warehouse, plus all electricity is purchased through a certified zero-carbon energy plan.
Since opening in 2022, our European Distribution Centre has been more than just a warehouse—it’s a working example of responsible, energy-efficient design.
Located in a sustainability-focused business park, the building benefits from shared thermal energy storage and a combined heating and cooling system, which helps us reduce energy use by up to 32%.
Inside, every detail is considered. Automated window blinds limit heat build-up and reduce cooling needs while motion-activated LED lighting ensures energy is only used when and where it’s needed.
Up on the roof, 186 solar panels quietly generate around 52,900 kWh of electricity each year, meeting up to 73% of our summer energy needs.
"In summer, 73% of our electricity is produced right above our heads."
And when we need more electricity, 100% of it comes from wind power—so all our purchased energy remains 100% renewable.
These aren’t surface-level changes—they’re built into how we operate.
From cutting emissions to generating our own power, sustainability is part of every decision we make. Because protecting the planet isn’t a side project; it’s part of delivering on our promise to be Cleaner. Safer. Better. Greener.
Achieving carbon-neutral status is just one part of our commitment. The other is helping you meet your own environmental targets too.
"250+ recycled-content products. One shared goal: less waste, more impact."
Our range includes over 250 high-performance products made with recycled content, helping you reduce waste and support a circular economy. Pair that with our expert solutions for managing leaks, drips and spills, stormwater, and flooding, and you’ve got a powerful toolkit to reduce site-level environmental risks, meet your ISO 14001 goals, and stay compliant with environmental regulations.
Carbon-neutral isn’t where the journey ends—it’s where it begins.
We’re actively working toward a Net-Zero future—investing in renewable energy, improving product design, and reducing emissions wherever we can.
Not everything will happen overnight. But we’re making real progress and doing it the right way.
