Product Description
- Use Booms to confine spill before it can spread; use Mats to soak up spill
- PIG® Oil-Only White Booms and STAT-MAT® Pads meet NFPA 99 standards for static decay; Booms are also UV resistant
- Absorbents are packed in protective baskets with lid for long-term protection against UV degradation; lift-out baskets provide easy, organized access to contents for quick spill response
- Overpack is X-rated for Packing Groups I, II and III, so it's certified for shipping waste by land, sea or rail after cleanup is finished
- Integrated ledges molded into container allow Kit to be moved with forklift
- Large, color-coded label makes identification fast and accurate during an emergency
- Leak-proof, twist-on lid is notched so you can easily remove or tighten it with a 2x4 or pole; Kit contents remain clean and dry prior to use and waste stays securely inside Overpack during shipment
- Tamper-proof seal protects Kit against pilfering of spill-response supplies

29 CFR 1910.120(j)(1)(vii) - OSHA's HAZWOPER standard requires spill responders to have, "DOT specified salvage drums or containers and suitable quantities of proper absorbents," in areas where spills may occur.
40 CFR 112.7 - SPCC planning requirements state that facilities subject to these regulations must have written plans in place discussing the products, countermeasures and procedures that are in place, or will be taken by the facility to prevent discharge of oil into waters of the United States.
49 CFR 173.3(c)(1) - If a container of hazardous waste is damaged or leaking, it can be placed in a compatible salvage drum that meets UN criteria for shipping.
